Online system for checking entry bans to Russia is currently unavailable

The electronic service on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, which allows foreign citizens to check for entry bans, is temporarily unavailable.

According to the Passport and Visa Service (PVS) under the Russian Interior Ministry, foreigners can currently determine if they are subject to an entry ban by contacting the hotline of the "Register of Controlled Persons." It is recommended to call 8-800-200-52-09 for this purpose.

Experts advise using this hotline until the technical issues are resolved. Additionally, migrants can reach out through official information channels and chatbots to receive advice on their inquiries and any issues that may arise.

As a reminder, checking for an entry ban before traveling to Russia helps prevent potential misunderstandings in the future. Once the service is restored, it is expected that information will be provided online again as it was previously.
