Officers of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) have detained a foreign national who established an illegal prayer house at one of the markets in Chelyabinsk.
According to official reports, the individual promoted the ideas of an international religious association, whose activities are banned within Russia, among those attending the prayer house. He is also accused of inciting hostility toward representatives of various religious denominations, including Muslims of other branches.
During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, through his radical rhetoric, provoked conflicts among representatives of official religious institutions. A decision has been made to revoke the detainee's Russian citizenship. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
