In Russia's Rostov region, law enforcement agencies have identified the individual who posted a video online showing the aftermath of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack. It turned out that the person who committed this offense is a citizen of Uzbekistan.
As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the Center for Countering Extremism (CCE) in cooperation with the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the citizen's location was determined and he was detained.
It is reported that the detainee has fully confessed to his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions. Currently, an administrative report has been drawn up against him, and the court is expected to impose an appropriate penalty.
We remind you that in accordance with the decree of the Governor of the Rostov region, for the past year, it has been strictly forbidden in the region to distribute photos and videos in the media and on social networks that show the location of military facilities, the operation of air defense (AD) systems, emergency situations, and the consequences of drone attacks.
For violating these restrictions, the following fines have been established: • For individuals: from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles; • For officials: from 20,000 to 40,000 rubles; • For legal entities: from 200,000 to 400,000 rubles.
Information disseminated by official state bodies and their authorized sources is considered an exception.
