Russian actress claims she was deceived by Uzbek construction workers

Well-known Russian actress Vera Sotnikova posted a video on her social media claiming that Uzbek workers renovating her house took an advance payment and fled, leaving the work unfinished. In her video, the actress showed the mess left behind by the builders and made harsh remarks about migrants and specific nationalities.

The actress criticized the workers for leaving their personal belongings and dirty dishes behind. Seeing jugs used for ritual ablution, she accused the workers of not even cleaning up the dishes they used for tea, leaving everything in disarray.

Unable to come to terms with the workers abandoning the site in such a state, Sotnikova questioned their behavior: "Are these people Uzbeks or Gypsies? Is it normal for them to just drop everything and leave?"

Against the backdrop of her disappointment with the Uzbek workers, the actress also commented on other nationalities: "The Uzbeks did this; I don't know how Tajiks would behave, but I think they might be even worse," she said, adding that she can no longer remain loyal in such situations.

At the end of the video, the actress stated that she would not stop the construction but would hire a new team. However, she expressed prejudice toward the future workers in advance, noting: "If one group of fools leaves, others will take their place."

Actress Vera Sotnikova emphasized that she would file a complaint with the Russian Migration Service (FMS) and would not rest until the workers compensated for the damage caused or were deported from the country.
