Foreigner involved in illegal activities sentenced to 10 years in prison in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, a foreign national has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the illegal sale of narcotic drugs. According to the court verdict, he will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony.

It was established that the individual from Tajikistan arrived in Russia in the summer of 2025 and had been living in the country without legal grounds. Due to difficulties in finding employment, he was hired via the internet as a "dead-drop courier" (zakladchik) for a drug-dealing shop and later recruited an acquaintance into the same activity.

In August 2025, during an operation conducted by law enforcement officers, they were apprehended while placing a large quantity of prohibited substances. Although the defendant did not plead guilty during the trial, the evidence collected by the investigation fully confirmed his guilt.

This case serves as a warning to migrants seeking work abroad, reminding them that suspicious and illegal sources of "income" offered via the internet lead to severe criminal liability.
