Migrant sentenced to 8 days in jail for misconduct in Moscow Metro

A man was detained at the 'Rizhskaya' station of the Moscow Metro for engaging in inappropriate behavior toward a female passenger. The incident occurred on July 26 on an escalator. According to reports, the individual, who was registered at a hotel at the 'Food City' wholesale market, harassed a young woman standing in front of him on the escalator.

The victim immediately reported the incident to the police. An investigation conducted by law enforcement agencies and footage from surveillance cameras confirmed the man's actions. Although the suspect attempted to justify his behavior as accidental, the evidence proved his guilt.

The Ostankino Court issued a ruling on the case. Accordingly, the man was sentenced to 8 days of administrative detention for petty hooliganism. Under Russian law, disturbing public order and violating the personal integrity of others in public spaces result in strict legal consequences.
