On October 14–15, 2026, officers of the internal affairs bodies of the Nizhny Novgorod region conducted a special operation called 'Rozysk' (Search). A total of 543 law enforcement officers and 6 representatives of public organizations were involved in the event.
As a result of the two-day operational activities, 45 individuals suspected or accused of committing crimes were detained. Among them were persons declared wanted internationally by the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Specifically, a 62-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan was detained in the city of Bor. He had been wanted by the Navoi Region Department of Internal Affairs on charges of domestic violence. Currently, the detained individual is in custody.
Additionally, during the operation, the whereabouts of 40 missing persons were determined. Police officers noted that search operations are carried out on an ongoing basis and measures to identify offenders will continue.
