Migrant arrested in Russia for drug trafficking

According to the Ryazan Region Interior Ministry, a 21-year-old foreign national was arrested on one of the city's streets. During the search, 2.23 grams of synthetic drugs were found in his possession. Additionally, law enforcement officers discovered and seized another 0.74 grams of the substance that he had previously hidden in caches.

According to investigators, the young man was recruited via the internet by a drug trafficking group. He had traveled from Moscow to Ryazan specifically to perform "dead drops" and planned to return once the task was completed. Having initially arrived in Russia for work, he was lured by promises of easy money and became involved in criminal activity.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Under Russian law, the illegal possession and distribution of narcotics is a serious crime that carries long-term imprisonment.

This case serves as a warning to migrants not to fall for suspicious and illegal "job" offers promoted online. Any unlawful activity can lead not only to the loss of personal freedom but also to deportation and a lifetime ban on entering the Russian Federation.
