According to the Russian Interior Ministry's department for the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, two criminal cases regarding the organization of illegal migration have been opened against a 43-year-old local resident in Cherkessk. According to investigators, the suspect, acting in prior conspiracy, drafted fake employment contracts for foreign nationals.
It was established that two foreign citizens obtained work patents in Russia based on these contracts. Currently, an investigation is underway under Part 2, Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). A travel restriction has been imposed on the suspect as a preventive measure.
This situation serves as an important warning for migrants. If a foreign national has obtained a patent using forged documents or without having an actual place of employment, the document may subsequently be declared fraudulent and revoked. This results in the loss of the migrant's legal status in Russia and may lead to administrative liability.
Experts advise migrants to work only with official and verified employers when applying for a patent, and to obtain documents legally, either independently or through authorized government agencies.
