Case of fake driver's license detected in Tolyatti

Traffic police officers on duty at the 'Rubezh' checkpoint in Tolyatti stopped a Mercedes truck for a routine document check. During the inspection, the driver's license presented by the 35-year-old foreign driver raised suspicions among the officers.

It was determined that the document was a forgery produced using a color printer. In his statement, the driver admitted that after losing his original license, he had purchased the fake document online. Currently, the vehicle has been impounded, and the forged document has been sent for forensic examination.

According to the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Samara Region, a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Part 3 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of a forged document). Investigative actions are ongoing.

This incident serves as a call for foreign drivers to use legal channels when processing documents and to be cautious of suspicious offers found on the internet. The use of forged documents results in criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
