Large underground counterfeit alcohol factory using migrant labor shut down in Tula region

In the settlement of Shirinsky, Tula region, a large underground alcohol factory using illegal migrant labor was shut down during a joint operation by the police and the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia).

Located on a site consisting of four large permanent buildings, the illicit business operated industrial-grade bottling lines around the clock. During the search, law enforcement agencies confiscated over 58,000 bottles of finished counterfeit alcohol, nearly 12,000 liters of alcohol-containing liquid, and two large trucks used for transporting the finished products.

It was determined that the primary workforce for this criminal scheme consisted of 9 foreign migrants who lived and worked on the factory premises, hidden from the outside world. Law enforcement officers apprehended not only these foreign workers but also the alleged organizer of the criminal network and a truck driver with material evidence.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against all 11 suspects for the large-scale production of unmarked goods, and a court has ordered them to be held in custody as a preventive measure.

Furthermore, an additional criminal case for "Organizing illegal migration" has been opened against the factory owner for employing migrants illegally, while administrative protocols have been drawn up against the foreign workers themselves for violating migration laws.
