The Rodniki District Court of the Ivanovo region has remanded a foreign national, who was on the international wanted list, into custody for a period of 40 days.
According to court documents, the individual was wanted internationally. He is accused in his home country of fraud on an especially large scale, specifically the misappropriation of another person's property or the acquisition of rights to property through deception.
The court justified the decision based on the severity of the crime and the necessity of ensuring extradition procedures. The detention measure was applied to facilitate the transfer of the individual to the law enforcement authorities of his home country to face prosecution.
According to the press service of the Ivanovo regional courts, the process is being carried out in accordance with international legal standards. The wanted individual will be held in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of this period.
