Access to the artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT has been restricted in Russia. According to media reports, when users attempt to connect to the chatgpt.com domain, the connection is terminated before reaching the server. This situation has caused not only the website but also the mobile application that uses the same domain to stop functioning.
Previously, OpenAI had restricted the use of the service for IP addresses within Russia. Now, the connection itself is being blocked at the level of Russian network providers. This change creates practical difficulties for users who have been utilizing the service, including migrants who used artificial intelligence as an auxiliary tool in their work processes.
Experts note that these restrictions are being implemented at the technical infrastructure level. Currently, using alternative technical means to access the platform has also become more complicated.
