Unrestricted internet access provided for foreign participants

Within the framework of the International Youth Festival taking place in Yekaterinburg, an opportunity for free access to internet networks has been created for foreign participants. At the event held in the "Yekaterinburg-Expo" complex, guests were distributed special SIM cards that allow access to websites and social networks blocked in Russia.
Festival organizers have allocated three types of Wi-Fi networks for participants. In particular, the "IWYF2026-GLOBAL" network is intended for foreign delegates, and traffic filtering is disabled on it. In the "IWYF2026_UNITED" network, intended for Russian citizens, restrictions imposed by Roskomnadzor apply. The system determines the user's citizenship through their accreditation badge number and ensures connection to the appropriate network.
According to the festival's hotline staff, foreign guests were given special SIM cards to ensure access to "usual services." This allows foreign participants to cover the festival proceedings on their social networks without any obstacles. A similar practice was also applied at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June 2026.
We remind you that the International Youth Festival will last from September 11 to September 17, 2026. The event program includes concerts and official meetings with the participation of representatives from various states.
