9 migrants to be expelled from the country in Arkhangelsk: 'Illegal-2026' operation

The 'Illegal-2026' operational-preventive operation is being conducted in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia from October 1 to October 10. These measures were organized to identify and prevent illegal migration channels, and law enforcement agencies are conducting inspections in an enhanced mode.

In the first week of the operation, police officers recorded 56 cases of migration law violations. Specifically, it was determined that 9 foreign citizens were staying in Russia illegally. Additionally, 9 cases of illegal employment by foreign citizens and 10 cases of violations by employers were identified.

As a result of the inspections, an administrative expulsion decision from Russia was made against 9 violators, 3 of whom were placed in the foreign citizen detention center in Arkhangelsk. Furthermore, 35 foreigners were banned from entering the country due to non-compliance with Russian legislation.

Serious measures were also taken regarding documents: 2 temporary residence permits, 6 residence permits (VNJ), and 2 patents were revoked. The temporary stay period in Russia for 2 foreigners living in Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk was shortened. Currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted on all identified cases, and the issue of initiating criminal proceedings is being considered.
