7 foreigners to be forcibly expelled from Russia in Blagoveshchensk

Officers of the Amur Region Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted routine preventive raids in Blagoveshchensk at locations where foreign citizens frequently gather. During the inspections, the documents and legal status of over 100 migrants were checked.

As a result of the inspection, 7 foreign citizens were held administratively liable for violating migration laws. They were found guilty under Part 1.1 of Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. This article covers violations of the rules of stay in Russia, specifically the lack of documents confirming the right to reside or failure to leave the country after the expiration of the permitted period.

Each offender was fined 5,000 rubles. Furthermore, a court decision was issued for their forced expulsion from the territory of Russia. Currently, these individuals have been placed in a temporary detention center while awaiting the deportation process.

Authorities stated that such joint raids are conducted regularly across the Amur Region. Migrants are urged to keep their documents in order and strictly comply with Russian migration laws.
