Over 170 foreigners checked in Bashkiria: violators face deportation

Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan, with the support of the Russian Federal Security Service and the National Guard, are conducting the second stage of the federal comprehensive operational-preventive operation "Illegal-2026". The measures are aimed at strengthening control in places where foreign citizens live, work, and rest.

On October 7 of this year, during raids conducted at wholesale and retail trade complexes in Ufa, more than 170 foreign citizens from Central Asia and the North Caucasus regions were checked. As a result of the inspection, individuals illegally present on the territory of Russia were identified.

Administrative measures are being taken against foreigners who have violated migration legislation. In particular, violators face expulsion from Russia and a long-term ban on re-entry into the country. Preventive conversations regarding compliance with the law were held with all checked individuals.

The Migration Department of the Bashkiria Ministry of Internal Affairs requests that any instances of illegal residence or employment of foreigners be reported. The agency also reminded that fictitious registration of foreign citizens entails criminal liability under Russian law.
