In the Chelyabinsk region, the federal preventive operation "Illegal Migrant" was carried out by officers of the Russian Interior Ministry's Migration Department and the National Guard. During the raids, dormitories, hostels, and an agricultural produce sorting facility were inspected.
As a result of the five-day large-scale inspections, 539 administrative offenses in the sphere of migration were identified, and 36 crimes were recorded. It was also reported that 25 criminal cases have been initiated. During the checks, 2 cases of violating Russian entry/stay rules, 10 cases of illegal labor activity, and 11 cases of evading mandatory medical examinations were identified.
Following the operation, a decision was made to forcibly expel 83 foreign citizens from Russia. Of these, 49 were placed in a temporary detention center. Furthermore, 3 individuals were deported after serving their sentences, and 68 migrants were banned from entering Russia. Two foreign citizens who were on the wanted list were apprehended.
These measures were carried out across the region, including the Kalininsky district of Chelyabinsk, the Argayash district, and the city of Magnitogorsk. We remind migrants of the importance of complying with migration legislation, including the legal registration of labor activities and undergoing medical examinations.
