Migration service officers of the Russian Interior Ministry conducted a preventive operation to monitor compliance with migration laws in the Moscow region, specifically near the Kotelniki metro station. During the raid, 80 foreign citizens were identified who had exceeded the legally permitted period of stay in the country.
Modern technologies, including special systems installed in transport infrastructure, such as the Moscow metro, as well as mobile biometric identification tools, were used to identify the violators. These innovative methods allow for the rapid, real-time detection of offenders even in areas with high passenger traffic.
Administrative violation reports were drawn up against the 80 individuals identified. According to the legislation, these citizens are subject to fines and administrative expulsion from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the Russian Interior Ministry's Migration Issues Center, regional police officers, and National Guard forces participated in the operation. Officials stated that such preventive raids will continue in the future.
