In St. Petersburg, a migrant violator attempted to flee by car — police opened fire

In the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, a 22-year-old citizen of a Central Asian country was detained after attempting to flee from law enforcement officers. The incident occurred on the morning of October 11 near house No. 16 on Bogatyrsky Prospect. Upon seeing the patrol officers, the driver got into a Hyundai Solaris car and tried to speed away from the scene.

Police officers began pursuing the vehicle, but the driver did not comply with orders to stop or warning signals. On Korolev Prospect, a police officer fired a warning shot into the air in accordance with the Federal Law "On Police." Following this, the driver jumped out of the car and attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended near building 2, house No. 36 on Komendantsky Prospect.

According to the investigation, the 22-year-old man was staying in Russia in violation of migration laws. He has been taken to a police station, and several administrative protocols have been drawn up against him. The migrant has been placed in a detention center, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being considered.

It is worth noting that several cases related to migration law violations have been recorded in this area recently. In particular, it was previously reported that during a document check, a group of workers tried to hide on the roof of a building under construction, and a person was detained for offering a bribe to an inspector to avoid deportation.
