28 migrants in Saratov face deportation for illegal residence

In the Saratov region, law enforcement authorities stopped a tourist bus carrying foreign workers during a raid. The inspection revealed that 28 of the 60 passengers on the bus were residing in Russia in violation of stay regulations.

It was determined that the bus drivers attempted to bypass traffic police checkpoints to avoid inspections. The vehicle was traveling from the Krasnodar Territory. Currently, a decision has been made to deport 23 of the foreign nationals who violated the rules. Relevant administrative protocols have also been drawn up against the drivers.

Meanwhile, control over compliance with migration rules in Russia is being tightened. In particular, a criminal case was initiated in Kaliningrad against a local resident who fictitiously registered 22 foreigners in a one-room apartment. The accused could face up to five years in prison for this offense.

We remind migrants of the importance of processing documents in a timely manner and actually residing at the registered address. Working without legal documents or fictitious registration can lead to deportation from Russia and a subsequent ban on entry into the country.
