The second stage of the federal operation "Illegal Migrant – 2026" is taking place in the Ulyanovsk region from October 1 to October 10. According to the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry, police officers inspected 67 facilities, including 34 locations where migrants reside, between October 1 and October 5.
During the inspections, a total of 256 administrative violations were recorded. Of these, 162 were related to violations of the rules for entry, exit, and stay of foreign citizens in Russia, and 94 were related to non-compliance with labor activity procedures. Additionally, 15 reports were filed against legal entities that illegally employed foreigners under Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
As a result of the violations, 24 foreign citizens were banned from entering Russia, and administrative expulsion decisions were made against 38 individuals who were staying in the country illegally.
Furthermore, law enforcement agencies initiated 3 criminal cases. Two of them are related to the fictitious registration of foreign citizens (Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and one is related to the forgery of a Russian citizen's passport (Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
