It has been reported that the cost of medical examinations at the Novosibirsk branch of the Passport and Visa Service (PVS) of the Russian Interior Ministry has increased sharply. According to migrants, while the service previously cost 4,300 rubles, the amount has now reached nearly 14,000 rubles.
In addition to the cost, clients of the center are complaining about internal procedures, long queues, and the attitude of the staff. Specifically, visitors have noted strict entry controls, a ban on using mobile phones inside the building, and difficulties in contacting relatives. There are also reports of delays in service delivery and the need to return multiple times to collect documents.
According to official information, although the Passport and Visa Center and the medical service providers are located at the same address (1G Yesenin Street), they are separate legal entities. Center operators advise clients to first obtain a referral from an inspector for 500 rubles and then undergo the medical examination. However, many migrants remain dissatisfied with the uncertainty regarding the actual cost and the transparency of the process.
It should be noted that waiting areas for visitors to the center are limited, and the infrastructure around the building is insufficient. Currently, journalists and public representatives are awaiting an official comment from the center's administration regarding its pricing policy and service procedures.
