On August 28, representatives of the Uzbekistan delegation held a working meeting in Moscow with officials from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullayev, Director of the Migration Agency Behzod Musayev, and heads of diplomatic missions.

During the meeting, issues regarding the protection of the legitimate interests of Uzbekistan citizens residing in Russia were discussed in detail. In particular, the parties exchanged views on ensuring the timely notification of the Uzbek side in the event of the detention of citizens, ensuring respect for human rights during migration procedures, and promptly resolving emerging issues.

Special attention was also paid to the regulation of the registry of controlled persons and the legal status of citizens in need of social protection. The parties agreed to continue cooperation on the organized employment of Uzbekistan citizens in Russia, their professional training, and the further improvement of migration procedures.
