In the city of Ivanovo, law enforcement officers have arrested a suspect accused of stealing money from a bank card. According to preliminary information, the suspect found someone else's bank card on the premises of a gas station and decided to use it for personal purposes.
The man used the found card to make purchases at an auto repair shop. As a result, a total of more than 5,000 rubles was withdrawn from the victim's account. Following operational search activities, the suspect's identity was established, and he was taken into custody.
It turned out that the detained individual is a foreign citizen living on the territory of Russia in violation of current legislation, i.e., illegally. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft from a bank account").
Furthermore, the individual has been entered into the registry of persons illegally present on the territory of Russia. After the court verdict is delivered and the sentence is served, the measure of forced deportation from the Russian Federation will be applied to this citizen.
