The Kamchatka Regional Court has delivered a verdict against four foreign citizens for a crime committed in August 2025. The court found them guilty of kidnapping and sentenced them to prison terms ranging from 5 years and 6 months to 6 years and 6 months, to be served in a strict-regime penal colony.
It was established that on the evening of August 13, 2025, the four individuals forcibly put their fellow countryman into a car and took him to a building on Victory Avenue (Prospekt Pobedy), and subsequently to an apartment building on Sadovaya Street. The defendants explained their actions by claiming they wanted to settle a dispute because the victim had allegedly insulted the mother of one of them.
The victim managed to escape the following morning. During the trial, two of the defendants fully admitted their guilt, while the guilt of the other two was confirmed by the totality of the evidence collected.
The court's verdict has not yet entered into legal force. The defendants have the right to appeal the decision within 15 days.
