Uzbek citizen sentenced to 8 years in prison following a drunken altercation in Moscow

According to the "Ostorozhno, novosti" publication, in April 2026, 48-year-old Nurali K., a native of the Samarkand region, arrived in Moscow after being demobilized due to a severe injury sustained in the special military operation zone. In Moscow, the citizen regularly consumed alcohol and invited various individuals to his apartment. In April, he met a citizen named Rustam Kh. During a joint drinking session, a disagreement arose between them. Two days later, Nurali K. and Rustam Kh. met again at a retail outlet and agreed to continue their meeting in a larger group at Nurali K.'s apartment.

However, under the influence of alcohol, the conflict flared up again. Nurali K. grabbed a kitchen knife and inflicted 39 stab wounds on Rustam Kh. One of the witnesses present in the apartment arrived at the scene of the crime. After the other individuals left the apartment, Nurali K. fell asleep and was subsequently detained by law enforcement officers.

During the court hearing, the defendant denied the murder, claiming that he had struck the victim a limited number of times in self-defense. The court considered Nurali K.'s participation in the special military operation as a mitigating circumstance, while his alcohol addiction was deemed an aggravating factor. According to the court verdict, Nurali K. was sentenced to 8 years in prison, and this decision has entered into legal force.
