Migrant arrested in Moscow for committing a serious crime: faces 3 to 6 years in prison

A man who committed a serious crime against a girl working for a delivery service has been arrested in Moscow. According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow, the incident took place in the area of Yaroslavskoye Highway.

During the investigation, it was determined that a 23-year-old migrant attacked the female courier, caused her bodily harm by breaking her nose, and committed sexual assault. After the victim reported the incident to the police, the suspect was promptly identified using surveillance cameras and taken into custody.

During the initial interrogation, the suspect claimed he was intoxicated and could not remember the event, but later confessed to the crime. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for "Rape" and "Sexual assault."

The legislation provides for a penalty of 3 to 6 years of imprisonment for this crime. Investigative actions are ongoing.
