An attempted murder of foreign workers has occurred in the city of Perevoz, Nizhny Novgorod region. According to local police, two masked individuals inflicted severe bodily injuries on two foreign nationals working at a garment factory.
Law enforcement agencies arriving at the scene determined that the victims were working in Russia on legal grounds. As a result of the attack, a 29-year-old victim was hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit. The second victim also received medical assistance.
The Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region has initiated a criminal case under the article "Attempted Murder." As a result of search operations, the suspects — local residents born in 1993 and 2004 — were apprehended. During the search, weapons used in the crime were found and seized as material evidence.
During interrogation, the suspects explained their actions as being motivated by personal animosity. Currently, by court decision, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied to them. Investigative actions are ongoing.
Representatives of the local administration have called on the population to avoid interethnic conflicts and to resolve any disagreements through legal channels, namely through the police.
