In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a foreign citizen was arrested through the joint efforts of the Russian Interior Ministry's Kamchatka regional department and the Federal Security Service. It was determined that the individual had been placed on an interstate wanted list by Uzbek law enforcement agencies on charges of fraud (Article 168, Part 2, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan) and document forgery (Article 228, Part 2, Clause 'b').
Police investigations revealed that the citizen had been residing in Russia illegally since 2018. To evade capture, he had been working as a laborer on dacha plots in the Kamchatka region.
Currently, the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Yelizovsky District Interior Department in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. Law enforcement agencies are considering the issue of his extradition to Uzbekistan.
