Foreigners attempting to cross the Russian border illegally have been detained

As a result of operational measures carried out by officers of the Border Service of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia for the Omsk region, an attempt by a group of foreigners to illegally cross the state border between Russia and Kazakhstan was successfully thwarted.

Law enforcement agencies, in cooperation with border guards, not only detained the border violators but also managed to identify the organizers of the criminal group that established and managed this illegal migration channel. In connection with this incident, a criminal case was officially opened against the foreign nationals who illegally crossed the state border under Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal crossing of the state border by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), and during the investigation, the court imposed a preventive measure of detention to prevent them from fleeing or interfering with the investigation.

During the conducted operational and in-depth investigative actions, it was revealed that there were individuals who organized the secret and illegal entry of these foreigners into Russian territory for a monetary reward, and they were also promptly detained. It was confirmed by official authorities that one of these criminal accomplices is a citizen of the Russian Federation, while the other is a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries.

Currently, a separate criminal case has been opened against the organizers of this criminal group under Clause "a" of Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), and very strict penalties are provided for this serious crime under the law.

If the guilt of the accused is fully proven in court, they face imprisonment for up to 10 years, as well as a large financial fine in favor of the state of up to 1 million rubles.
