In Moscow, criminal cases against individuals who attempted to bribe traffic police officers have been sent to court. According to law enforcement agencies, drivers and passengers offered money to officers in order to avoid administrative liability.
In the first case, a 34-year-old driver was stopped for lacking documents (driver's license and insurance policy) and for not wearing a seatbelt. Inside the patrol car, he offered the inspector a bribe of 11,000 rubles. The inspector refused to accept the money, and the driver was detained. Currently, the individual has confessed to his guilt.
In the second case, a foreign national who was a taxi passenger attempted to bribe an inspector after it was discovered that he had violated migration legislation. As a result, this person was also detained, and a criminal case was initiated against him.
According to Russian legislation, offering or giving a bribe to an official is a serious crime. For migrants, such actions can lead not only to fines or imprisonment but also to deportation from the country and a subsequent ban on entering Russia. Experts recommend acting through legal channels in the event of traffic or migration regulation violations.
