Attempted document forgery and bribery in Russia: 35-year-old migrant to stand trial

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Leningrad Region, the investigation into a criminal case against a 35-year-old foreign national in the Kirovsky district has been completed. He is charged under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted bribery) and Article 327 (use of a forged document).

The incident took place on September 24, 2026, in the village of Sinyavino, Kirovsky district. When traffic police officers checked the documents of the individual they had stopped, it was discovered that he had no legal grounds to be in Russia and was not registered.

It was reported that in order to avoid administrative liability, the accused offered the inspector a bribe of 15,000 rubles. The law enforcement officer refused to accept the bribe, but despite warnings, the individual placed the money in the glove compartment of the service vehicle. Following this, his illegal actions were stopped.

Furthermore, during the investigation, it was determined that the citizen had purchased a forged document confirming his migration registration and presented it to the police officer. Currently, the collected evidence and the criminal case have been sent to court, where the actions of the accused will be legally assessed.
