Uzbekistani driver who caused a fatal accident in Ufa sentenced to 9 years in prison

A court in the Russian city of Ufa has delivered a verdict against 27-year-old Uzbekistan citizen Begzod Sattorov, who caused the deaths of 3 people. The court sentenced him to 9 years in a settlement colony. Additionally, he is prohibited from driving vehicles for up to 3 years after his release.

What actually happened? The horrific incident occurred on October 15, 2025, on the Ufa highway. Begzod Sattorov was driving a Shacman truck with faulty brakes and an excessive load of sand. Due to the brake failure, the heavy truck crashed into 12 cars on the road. As a result of this terrible accident:

* 3 people died at the scene. * 1 person sustained serious injuries.

What was revealed during the investigation? According to investigation documents, the young man from Uzbekistan had no right to drive a truck in Russia at all (he lacked a driver's license and permits). He was illegally transporting cargo to earn money.

In court, he partially admitted his guilt. The court imposed one of the strictest penalties provided by law.
