Two Uzbek citizens detained at Yekaterinburg airport for attempting to smuggle 15 cold weapons

During customs control at Yekaterinburg airport, a total of 121 bladed items were discovered in the luggage of two Uzbek citizens. These items were crafted in the style of national knives and were seized by airport staff.
According to the results of the expert analysis, the majority of the items were classified as household knives. However, 15 of them were classified as cold weapons.
Currently, two administrative cases have been initiated against the two citizens regarding this incident. Law enforcement agencies are continuing pre-investigation checks.
We remind you that the rules for transporting prohibited items or items requiring special permits on international flights are strictly monitored. Transporting items classified as cold weapons without declaration and proper permits can lead to administrative and criminal liability.
