On September 8, an Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullayev held a meeting in St. Petersburg with representatives of major Russian employers and industry officials.
The negotiations were attended by Elena Demina, President of the Association for Assistance to International Labor Migration, as well as representatives of leading Russian companies such as Master Print, Shopen, Injiniring SV, Makaronika, BFA, and Avangard.
The main topic of the meeting was the organized recruitment of Uzbekistan citizens for Russian enterprises and the creation of comfortable and safe working conditions for them. During the dialogue, it was revealed that there are more than 1,000 job vacancies available at these companies.
The parties agreed on mechanisms for selecting candidates for the existing vacancies, their vocational training, and safe employment. The Uzbekistan representatives also familiarized themselves with the activities of the International Labor Migration Center and the conditions created there for foreign workers.
