The rate of frequent job changes among migrants in Russia has reached 300 percent

In Russia, the staff turnover rate among labor migrants from CIS countries is 300 percent per year. This was announced by Sofia Batura, Chair of the Migration Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, at a seminar for entrepreneurs held by "Opora Rossii".
The expert noted that at large enterprises, it is observed that employees who arrived under a visa-free regime change up to 3 times a year in the same position. For comparison, among citizens of non-CIS countries who arrived under a visa regime, this figure is only 2 percent.
Specific features of the patent system are cited as the main reason for high staff turnover. In many regions of Russia, labor patents do not specify a particular position. This allows foreign workers to work in any position and not be strictly tied to a specific employer.
According to experts, it is the patent system, which is not tied to a position or employer, that creates conditions for migrants to change jobs frequently. This situation affects stability in the labor market.
