Migrants working illegally fined in Kursk
In the Kursk region, operational and preventive measures to monitor compliance with migration legislation are ongoing. Officers from the Migration Department of the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with criminal investigation officers, conducted an inspection at a construction site for a new residential complex in the city of Kursk.
As a result of the inspection, foreign citizens were identified who were engaged in labor activities without the appropriate permits and had violated the rules for staying in Russia. All individuals found to be in violation were held administratively liable. Additionally, documentation is being processed against the employer who illegally hired the foreign workers, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
According to official data, during the first 8 months of 2026, a total of 1,482 administrative offenses related to migration legislation were recorded in the Kursk region. During this period, decisions were made to expel 87 foreign citizens from the country and deport 8 individuals. Furthermore, in 348 cases, entry into Russia was prohibited, 202 permits were revoked, and the temporary stay period for 147 individuals was shortened.
Currently, control measures to ensure compliance with migration rules are continuing in the region. Migrants are advised to keep their documents in order and ensure they have the necessary work permits at all times.
