Officers from the Internal Security Service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region have arrested an assistant duty officer from the 25th police precinct in the Primorsky District. This was reported on August 13.
According to investigators, the police officer is suspected of accepting money from two foreign nationals who were being prepared for deportation. Preliminary information suggests the officer received 15,000 rubles from each individual.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The suspect is currently being held in custody for 48 hours, and investigative actions are ongoing.
