A court verdict has been delivered in the Laishevsky District of Tatarstan against a citizen of Uzbekistan. It was established that the individual was stopped by traffic police officers for driving under the influence of alcohol. During the inspection, it was revealed that he refused to undergo a medical examination and did not possess a driver's license.
The court also took into account the defendant's previous offenses. Specifically, despite having been deprived of his driving privileges in December 2025, he got behind the wheel again in May 2026. It was also determined that he was residing in Russia illegally and had previously received a suspended sentence from a Moscow court for a drug-related crime.
According to the court's decision, the individual was sentenced to three years and one month in a general-regime penal colony. Additionally, he has been banned from operating vehicles for a period of two years. The defendant was taken into custody in the courtroom immediately after the verdict was announced, and his vehicle was returned to its owner (his mother).
