The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has carried out extensive work over the past 9 months of 2026 to protect the rights of citizens working abroad. In particular, the appeals of 817 citizens regarding unpaid wages and various compensations by employers were resolved positively.
As a result of the measures taken, a total of 850,000 US dollars was recovered from foreign employers. Of these cases, 533 occurred in the Russian Federation, 155 in Turkey, 92 in the Republic of Korea, and 37 in other countries.
Furthermore, during this period, identity documents of 532 Uzbek migrants were retrieved from intermediaries and foreign employers. The highest number of document recovery cases was recorded in the Russian Federation (331) and Turkey (185).
