The government of Uzbekistan is implementing systematic measures to regulate external labor migration and ensure the safe employment of citizens abroad. The External Labor Migration Agency, established in October 2024, is engaged in vocational training for labor migrants and teaching them foreign languages.
A special electronic platform of the agency is operating for citizens seeking employment. To date, more than 2.6 million citizens of Uzbekistan have registered in this system. By the beginning of August 2026, 13,300 vacancies had been posted on the platform, and 16,400 offers had been received from private recruitment companies.
According to statistics, Uzbek workers are mainly in demand in construction, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Income levels vary depending on the workplace and profession; for example, in Russian farms, workers are offered a monthly salary starting from 52,000 rubles.
Experts note that working conditions and offered incomes abroad are considered economically acceptable for many citizens. These mechanisms established by the agency serve to protect citizens from the risks of illegal migration and facilitate work based on official contracts.
