An agricultural enterprise in the Tselinny District of Russia's Kurgan Region has been fined twice for violating migration laws during the hiring and dismissal of a foreign national. According to court documents, the company was fined 200,000 rubles for each violation.
Inspections were carried out by the migration department in June. It was revealed that the enterprise had made errors in processing notifications regarding the conclusion and termination of the employment contract with the foreign employee. Specifically, the notification forms were filled out incorrectly, and the documents were not bound or numbered in accordance with regulations.
Furthermore, the documents incorrectly identified the type of identity document (a residence permit was listed instead of a passport), and the legal basis for the foreign national's employment was incorrectly specified. The enterprise admitted its guilt and is required to pay a total fine of 400,000 rubles.
This case highlights the importance for employers to strictly adhere to the procedures for processing migration documents in accordance with current legal requirements when hiring foreign staff.
