The Langepas City Court in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra has issued a ruling imposing an administrative fine of 400,000 rubles on a local entrepreneur. The reason for this was the businessman's violation of official restrictions established in the region regarding the employment of migrants in the catering sector.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the individual entrepreneur, despite existing bans, had hired a citizen of Uzbekistan as a chef at his catering establishment. Currently, a direct decree from the governor in this region strictly prohibits foreign citizens from working in restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, and fast-food outlets.
In court, the entrepreneur fully admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions. The city court qualified this violation under Part 1 of Article 18.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-compliance with established restrictions on carrying out certain types of activities) and imposed the legal fine.
