Plans are underway to revise the cost of work patents for foreign citizens employed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The corresponding bill, prepared by the regional Ministry of Finance, is currently undergoing anti-corruption expertise.
If this initiative is implemented, the amount of monthly patent fees for migrants working in the region may decrease. These changes are intended to reduce the expenses of foreign workers engaged in labor activities within the region.
According to the bill, the new procedure is expected to come into effect on January 1, 2027. However, it is stipulated that the document must take effect no earlier than one month after its official publication and no later than the first day of the next tax period for personal income tax (NDFL).
