Man convicted in Adygea for attempted bribery

A court verdict has been delivered in the Republic of Adygea against a resident of the Krasnodar Territory. According to the investigation, the citizen had illegally registered his foreign relative in Russia. It was determined that the foreign national was actually living and working in a different region.

After police officers uncovered the illegal migration scheme, a criminal case was initiated against the individual, and an administrative case was opened against the foreign national for violating the rules of stay in Russia. On October 24, 2024, a relative of the suspect offered a police officer a bribe of 15,000 rubles in an attempt to resolve the situation and avoid prosecution.

According to the court's verdict, the man who attempted to offer the bribe was sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment. He was placed on a 3-year probation period and subjected to a number of restrictions.
