17 foreign migrants held administratively liable in Chelyabinsk

Raids were carried out in the Sosnovsky district of the Chelyabinsk region as part of the second stage of the federal operational-preventive operation 'Illegal'. Officers from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Chelyabinsk region inspected a stone processing workshop and agricultural product retail outlets.

As a result of the inspections, a total of 17 administrative offenses were recorded. Specifically, 13 cases of illegal labor activity, 2 cases of violation of the rules of stay in the Russian Federation, and 2 cases of evasion of mandatory medical examinations were identified.

All foreign citizens were checked using mobile biometric terminals for involvement in crimes and status in wanted databases. During the preventive measures in the Chelyabinsk region, a total of 158 migration violations were identified, and 14 criminal cases were initiated.

According to official data, a decision on administrative expulsion from the country was made against 29 foreign citizens, 10 of whom were placed in a temporary detention center. Additionally, 5 foreign citizens have been banned from entering Russia. Inspections in the region are ongoing.
