In Cherepovets, as part of the "Shadows" preventive operation, officers from the city's Interior Ministry migration department held a meeting with local business representatives. The meeting focused on the legal aspects of hiring foreign citizens and current legislative requirements.
The migration department leadership reminded employers of the importance of verifying the legal status of foreign employees residing in Russia. Entrepreneurs were advised to use the verification tools available on the official website of the Russian Interior Ministry and to utilize digital government services through the "Gosuslugi" portal or the "Passport and Visa Service."
Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the necessity of obtaining permits in a timely manner. Employers were urged to conduct awareness-raising activities among foreign staff to prevent offenses and to strengthen oversight of their conduct.
Officials also reminded attendees of the obligation to immediately report any extremist or terrorist-related rhetoric to law enforcement agencies. At the end of the event, police officers answered questions raised by the entrepreneurs.
