In the city of Kotovsk, officers from the Russian Interior Ministry department are organizing an operational-preventive operation titled “Illegal Migrant.” During this process, migration office staff and district police officers are checking the documents of foreign citizens and monitoring compliance with migration legislation.
Inspections are primarily being conducted at construction sites, dormitories, hostels, private residences, and public catering facilities where foreign labor is widely utilized. The goal is to legalize labor activities and protect the rights of foreign workers.
As part of the preventive measures, police officers are conducting awareness-raising activities with foreign citizens and employers. They are being provided with reminders regarding migration rules and the liability measures established for violations.
Officials emphasize that these measures are aimed not only at identifying violations but also at preventing potential abuses by employers against foreign employees.
