Incident in Nizhnekamsk: Bodies of deceased Uzbek citizens sent home

On August 10, a drone attack on the city of Nizhnekamsk in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, resulted in the deaths of 13 people, 8 of whom were identified as citizens of Uzbekistan. It is currently reported that the bodies of our deceased compatriots have been sent back to their homeland.

According to the head of Nizhnekamsk, Radmir Belyaev, the amount of financial assistance provided to the families of the victims and the deceased in the region has been doubled. In addition to the funds allocated by the government of Tatarstan, the enterprises where the deceased worked will also pay the families an additional compensation of 2 million rubles.

Assistance is also being provided to those injured in the attack. Depending on the severity of the health damage, compensation ranging from 300,000 to 600,000 rubles has been set for the victims. These payments are currently being processed in accordance with established procedures.

Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences to the presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan regarding this tragedy and offered support to the families of the deceased. The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated a criminal case regarding the attack.
